I spent over four glorious years being a part-time piece of the nerd pie at Geeks on the Beach Web Agency. I am grateful for my time spent there learning how to build awesome Joomla! and WordPress websites that look great on all devices. I am also pumped to have gained valuable SEO skills and then Google AdWords certification back in 2017.
My work specialised primarily in creating Joomla! based websites of which I have created dozens of beautiful, responsive websites. Recently I have expanded my portfolio to include building WordPress sites which has become the CMS of choice worldwide boasting an incredible 50-60% market share.

My journey here is something I am truly proud of after helping this company move forward from days of paper accounting into the world of a server-based accounting and inventory system, then to a beautiful, functional online website that has helped grow the business leaps and bounds.
In 2010, I hired Geeks on the Beach to build Isle Golf Cars a new website which was my first taste of HTML and the back end of a website. Working with the Geeks was so much fun that a few years later I would join their team while assuming a part-time role with both companies.

Upon moving to Parksville, I began working for Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo as a part-time instructor for computer courses such as Simply Accounting and Microsoft Excel for the continuing education department.
